Consent of the Governed

government by consent majority rules not Jan 08, 2022
Imagine you're on an aeroplane.

Something goes wrong and the aeroplane crashes into the ocean.

You and 99 other survivors wash up on a deserted island.

After a few weeks, with little prospect of rescue, 10 of the survivors decide they want to create a system of GOVERNMENT on the island.

The remaining 90 survivors do not wish to take part.

So the minority of 10 hold an election, appoint a KING, GOVERNMENT and OFFICIALS.

Question:

Can the ten (10) people (including the alleged "KING") now tell the 90 (ninety) remaining survivors what to do?

The answer is obviously: NO because the 90 survivors did NOT consent to take part! In other words ~ EVERYONE must consent in order to be bound!

If the 10 tried to enforce their WILL over the 90, the 10 would violate Natural Law, and would be engaging in tyranny.

Even if 99 survivors had agreed to take part in the GOVERNMENT "PROGRAM", the 99 CANNOT enforce their WILL over the one remaining survivor if he/she refuses to take part.

Now apply that principle to the COUNTRY where you think you "LIVE".
